Cardiac Assessment
Who this is for
For people with symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, dizziness or reduced exercise capacity. For people with an abnormal finding, such as a heart murmur or a changed ECG. For people with a known heart condition who need follow-up care. And for referrals from a general practice or a hospital.
What to expect
An initial consultation usually takes 60 minutes. I take your medical history, examine you physically and carry out the necessary tests — usually an ECG and echocardiography. At the end, we discuss the findings and the next steps. You and your referring doctor receive a written report.
What to bring
Insurance card · list of your medications · previous findings, ECG copies and medical reports, if available · your referral form, if you have been referred
Findings
Your referring doctor receives the written report within five working days. On request, I also send it to your doctor at home, including abroad.
